The Chucky Ar La Foundation promotes social justice, peace and understanding through support of musical expression. Our vision is to offer grants to diverse, socially aware, young Chicago-based musical artists representing underserved communities. These grants will help defray the costs of performance, recording, and education. We strive for a more inclusive society through music and art, leading by the example of our late friend, brother, and son, Charlie Sullivan, aka Chucky Ar La.
Our inaugural Chucky ar la was a huge success. Thank you. (a few photos below)
Our first Chucky ar la Fest brought together a lot of friends and family to celebrate Charlie's generous spirit and to do what we can to continue his commitment to supporting young musicians and to social justice.
The fest was held at Martyrs in Chicago on August 13, 2022. The event was sold out and the love in that room was amazing to experience. Thank you to all who attended. Based on this success, we hope to do it again.
